So my family has two houses one is a solar house and one is in a small town. The one in town is close to where my dad works and before he was driving 2 1/2 hour to work, he is a doctor. I have traveled international before and I have gone to 3 summer camps each duration being a month. My parents recently had me go to the middle east, and I got to experience it. They paid for the trip and basically had to force me to go cause I wanted to work on my school work and start getting college credits. I do realize that I am privileged but I don’t flaunt it to people at school, and I don’t let people who brag get the better of me. We also have 5 cars but only 4 are used cause one is a old old truck. I just let it be, I am just wondering if you think that I am extremely spoiled or I am just well off. I am aware of the world poverty and I know that people are struggling.
Everyone asks this and I was just wondering what people think.
Okay I have bought with my own money

They also bough me a car which I am really grateful.

My dad wanted to buy me a cargo container for my car but I don’t need one
I am trying to used my families old bike and ski racks so I am wanting a trailer hitch So I can reuse them. I shop for deals, I go to steapandcheap, and I look for coupons when I shop.
Things I have done for others
donated dollars to Hattie
donated dollars to the Tornados
and Have also donated money to the heifer project.
I am also starting a solar cooking club at college this fall and want to make money over the summer.
I am 18 and over the years I have bough this stuff, I think my purchases very seriously.
Also I know that in the future I have to support myself so I am putting 500 aside each year I work to help pay for my next car, and I am working each summer now and trying to make around 2,500 or more.
Many of the things I Have I will used for the rest of my life.
Another thought, my parents bought me new ski clothes and we were going to get them from sport authority but then I thought to look on line and found the discontinued same jacket and the pants for the same price of the jacket at sports authority. I do try and save my parents money.

I need a bike rack for my car that holds 2 bikes. I have a 2004 Honda CR-V and we have TREK bikes. I have an off-center spare tire on the back and NO hitch. I want a SARIS Bones rack but don’t know if it can fit my car. The SARIS site says it fits a 2001 and 2007 but lists nothing in-between. They have one that would work but it has a 70-lb weigh limit and I’m not sure how much our (hybrid) bikes weigh. What’s a good choice?
Roof rack: The TREK store guy said not to put them on a roof rack. I couldn’t get them up there anyway.

I was looking for a hitch for my wife’s Rav 4. About 90% of it use will just before a hitch mount bike rack – I may possibly want to use it to pull a small, pop camper.
Whyat are the differences in hitches? Is there a universal? I was hoping to pick 1 up used of of craig’s list possibly – but don’t want to get stuck with the wrong 1. How do I know what to look for?
year is 2010.

I am looking for a dependable bike rack for my car. I am leery of the trunk mount bike racks (it looks like they would fall off if you hit a bump). That pretty much leaves roof mount or hitch mount rigs. My car is a 2001 Honda Accord Coupe. I will be transporting one bike that has quick release hubs both front and back. I am not looking to spends several hundred dollars, but I understand what I get is what I pay for so I’m not about to spend down at wal-mart only to cause a 30 car pile up on the highway when the POS falls off. I’m looking for the middle ground…does any have recommendations???????????????? Thanks.

I have a Thule Parkway 4-bike hitch mount carrier (Model 956) that I bought on Amazon. My problem is that the receiver holes are about 2 inches too far from the assembly and are a tad too small for 1/2" hitch pins. It works fine now, I just feel that the rack would be more sturdy if it can go farther into the receiver , and I would also like to use my 1/2" hitch lock rather than needed to bring out a socket wrench to put it on and take it off. The pre-drilled holes fit an M12 receiver bolt.
Basically, I want to know how to find somewhere that can drill new 1/2" holes into my bike rack assembly. What should I look up in the phone book? Can they do this at Hardware stores? I have a very basic drill which cannot fit a 1/2" bit, so doing it myself is out of the question. I am in Philadelphia PA if it helps.
Thanks!!

I’m thinking about changing my trunk mount bike rack. I’m afraid that its not that secure that the straps might break. I have a 2009 VW jetta and wanted an alternative without any changes done to my car when installing the bike rack like drilling. Install a hitch or a roof bike rack? Thanks

Anyone know a good option for a roof mount bike rack that fits very small kids bikes (16" wheels)? Upright mount preferred since bike doesn’t have quick release wheel.
Our SUV isn’t compatible with trunk mount racks and I am pulling a tent trailer so can’t use hitch mount racks.
So far I haven’t found any options that would seem to fit very small bikes.
